What is a Brand Ambassador?
A brand ambassador (sometimes also called a corporate ambassador) is a person who is hired by an organization or company to represent a brand in a positive light, and by doing so, help to increase brand awareness and sales.

- a person, especially a celebrity, who is paid to endorse or promote a particular company’s products or services.
So, with this information, how can YOU become a brand ambassador and how can you become successful at it?
Register with Experiential Brand Agencies
The first thing you need to do is register with as many brand agencies as possible. As most companies will book their events directly through an agency, the best way for you to become noticed, is to get booked through the agency. Be EAGER. And be ready to work when you are called into work.
Create a beautiful Resume and photographs for when you apply for events.
When you apply for events, make sure you apply with a professional resume and photographs. Even if you have never worked an event, make sure that you turn in the most professional images and resume as possible. Update it as often as you can and add events as you go and make it stand out against your fellow brand ambassadors.
Learn skill sets in Experiential Marketing that will set you apart.

Learn to brand yourself early.
Make sure you brand yourself early and have an identity to set yourself apart. You can’t help other people without first branding yourself. You need a unique identity with which people know you. If you can set yourself apart early then you will set yourself up for a successful career as a brand ambassador. If you are the one who always comes in happy, you come in early, always eager and ready to go, you have your own website, you have your paperwork in on time, etc, etc. You will be well known in the industry as a great brand ambassador and that word will travel through all agencies and you will get booked more often!
Always complete your recaps/event photos correctly.
If you want brands to recognize you and your abilities, always take the best photos and recaps. For example, you are at a liquor event. Then pose your photographs to get the product in site for every image. Think of the BRAND you are representing. Then, for the recap, make sure you are representing the brand adequately. Think of it from their perspective. If they were reading the recap what do they need to know? How well did the event go? What could be different? Make sure it is thorough. If you turn in great recaps and images for each event, you will raise in the ranks quickly.
In the 2020 event industry, with event marketing slowly coming back you need to make sure you hone in on your skill sets to be the best ambassador you can be to claim those jobs as soon as they pop up.
